son fuertes sus raíces y frágiles sus pétalos;
que me nace en el alma y sincero te ofrezco;

THE ROSE
How weak is the Rose but how beautiful she is,
her roots are strong and fragile her petals;
she appears early and bathes in sunlight
and sweetly dances rocked by the wind.
Then, the night falls, she bends her head
and the fragrance that comes from her body passes away,
and she loses her brilliant colours and dies,
and all her beauty spread out the ground.
That the way my love for you is, like a Rose
born in my soul and given to you,
who cares whether this Rose will be dead someday
if the worth of Love is bigger than time?
